Since the start of my freshmen year, I’ve been part of an organization called China Care Bruins. We mentor youth adoptees, mainly those from China, in the Southern California area, fundraise for orphanages in China, and educate others on adoption to dispel any myths or stigmas.

Every couple of weeks on a Sunday, the kids and teens come to UCLA, and we all participate in bonding activities such as arts and crafts, games, and more! After my sophomore year, I became the Youths Mentorship Director, designing activities for the Youths group, which incorporates 6th to 8th graders.

Through CCB, I’ve found a community that I love and cherish! The people in this organization mean a lot to mean and I’ve grown as a leader, mentor, and human being through this club.
